I'm still here!

Well hello there, thought I would write a blog post!  I know I have been unactive online recently (well for about a year really!) but I am going to try to get back into the swing of blogging about my antics and reading about lots of others too!

Some of this past year has been spent with me peddling my wares again on the high street - it is such a fantastic feeling to actually sell your artwork to someone face to face, there isn't much that can top it really!  The shop has now sadly closed as the lease ran out and there are a lot of changes going on on the Solihull High Street with Touchwood 2 gradually appearing that it wasn't a viable option to keep the shop open for the time being but who knows! watch this space....

Anyway I have spent the last few weeks spending time in school with my second son who is now going to be starting Senior School in September - gulp - where did all that time go?

I have also been making lots of crafty projects, let's be honest I never really stop! but mainly crocheted or sewn - sadly I seem to have lost my inspiration for inky projects despite purchasing a few new sizzix dies, inks and stamps over the past few months! (all are still sitting in the bags and packaging that they came in!!).  Hopefully inspiration may return next week when I will be undertaking Tim's new Creative Chemistry course - whoop!

A couple of things I have made recently are some jeans!!!!  Finally I have two pairs that fit me perfectly - here they are:

The front of my eclectic elements pair:

and the back:

and then the front of my walking dead pair (yes I know but you know me mad as a hatter!):

and the back:

I have also recently made myself 10 tops from three different patterns which I keep tweeking and using different fabrics for so you really can't tell that they are repeated and finally I feel that I am now a seamstress!!  Something I have wanted to do for years but never had the time to put to it, but now I have knuckled down and made time (which is half the reason for less time spent on the internet!) and am now finally getting my own bespoke wardrobe - much more rewarding than walking down the street and seeing someone else in the same top as you!  And let's face it my stuff is very bespoke as not many nearly 50 year olds wear walking dead tops and jeans do they!  and as for my robot top, well that's just so cute too!!  I might blog them soon but let's not jump the gun too quick eh!!

Anyway that's it from me for now - I will be popping round a few blogs in next few weeks to get me back into the swing of things.

Thanks for looking - enjoying the Sunshine in Solihull
