WOYWW 182

Thought I would join in a trip around the world noseying at other desks again this week.  Here is mine:

I am having a play with texture pastes and puff paint at the moment so those are the two backgrounds you can see (one tag and one attempt at another art journal page!).  The snowflake tags are on the desk as I had a friend round yesterday and we had a play and made some (they were from a workshop I ran a few weeks ago).  Material on the bottom left with the blue mini on are a little pile of mug rugs that I am practising how to quilt on, the Dr Suess bright piece of material is a finished mug rug I made ages ago and the black and white one is one I won a few months ago in a blog hop.  Very tidy desk here for me! I am nipping out this morning for a coffee and a bit of Christmas shopping but then hopefully will be back playing later on - still no sign of Christmas card making mojo on the horizon though - oh well.

If you would like to visit other desks around the world then pop over to Julias and join in the fun - be warned though its very addictive but you do get to make lots of lovely new friends and get some great inspiration on the way.

Thanks for looking - Getting messy from Solihull

I always muddle words... 'mini dustbin' I meant to type, not 'bit'...honestly, my brain gallops on and my fingers just type anything!! I typed orange the other day...and I meant to type 'order'! "Please can I orange your die-cuts...." Just as well I checked first!

How funny! I just dragged out my puff paint the other day - haven't used it yet, but it's sitting on my desk out of shot, waiting. Interested to see what happens with the texture places. I was thinking stencils, but always looking for new ideas....

Nice to see I am not the only one without a "C" card made. Need one to give to a friend on Friday though - the price of postage is ridiculous!
What is the green wheelie bin - it looks adorable?
Thanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet 29 xx

You are doing great getting the Christmas Shopping done, I have not even started mine but the cards I started ages ago, to sell and give away, so all good there.

I love that little wheelie bin so cute.

That looks like a very busy desk. I see the obligatory baby wipes in the pic, so handy for cleaning everything.

Lots of fun, interesting bits and bobs on your desk today. Love those snowflake tags...they are so very pretty!
Have fun shopping. I am amazed that you will have energy to create after Christmas shopping. Our stores are bursting with shoppers. Huge line up to pay and 20 minutes at least to find a parking spot!

Forgot to mention I do have a homemade "ester" at home. But it sort of Stretches with time as the cardboard gets soft from risisting the too wide envelopes. When a pearl or other blig hits it, it sort of softenins or dents the edge of the tester and then it is measuring wrong.
Also the cardboard is flexible and that makes a differnce to what slide through.

In other words, the cardboard one allows things that fail at the PO

You have some very interesting things on your desk there but the most important are definitely the wipes. What would we do without them??
Hope the shopping went well.

You've got a bit of everything there Nicola, love the mini fabric, I've heard of mug hugs but not mug rugs before! Puff paint would look good on Christmas cards.
