WOYWW 148

Sorry I have been awol for so long - my Nans death has had a big effect on me and I really havent been that chatty for the past few weeks - still I am feeling a lot better now and ready to start getting creative.

My desk is a bit staged as these are my two projects I hope to work on later today (am helping out at school this morning) - the house picture I bought as a kit when I went to Hobbycrafts at the NEC and the material to the left is a new technique I am trying (despite the fact that I kept telling myself I didnt need a new hobby I just caved in, again at the NEC), the house picture just needs sewing around in lots of different coloured threads and will be done, I have watercoloured the calico and the rest is straight from the pattern.  The left piece is some needlepunch felt and material that I have appliqued hearts on and then washed so it has shrunk and ruffled up just need to embellish it now.  Other than that my desk is relatively bare although I did take part in T!ms online class which, along with my crop commitments, got me back into doing some papercrafting but other than that I have just been doing some sewing and moping in front of the telly!

Can I just say a big thank you to Chris, Vanessa Scrap and Rita for following me.

Looking forward to getting around to some desks later and I have just looked out of my dining room window and notice it is slightly snowing here! whoo hoo.  If you would like to join in the fun desk hop too then pop over to Julias.
Thanks for looking - Cant Wait for the Holidays from Solihull

Love that needlepunch piece - it's a while since I did some of that and I do enjoy it..the shrinking in between looks great. Sorry that you've been down, natural of course, and believe me, grief takes a course that you cannot shorten or change. Be kind to yourself.

Slowly slowly you may find you can do things again, and what better way to heal that re-engage in activities you love?

take care Sunshine Girl,

I LoVe your workdesk this week ... from someone who is mostly a papercrafter but whom dabbles in sewing too it is just my cup of tea! Little steps and one day at a time and craft when you can and let it go when you can't. Have been thinking of you very much and wishing you peace. Love Debbie #99 xXx

It does take time, this year (so far) we've had an Aunt, brother-in-law and now last month Hubby's mum...there are no longer days, it all just goes by, but time as they say is a great healer. Remember all the good things that made you smile.Have A Happy Easter and a great crafting week! HaPpY WoYwW!!

What a neat and tidy space! I've tried the sewing thing, spent more time pulling out stitches than putting in! Thanks for sharing!

It's so good to see you back. I realize how you must feel. I had a dear friend die last year and I felt like I was in a bubble that I couldn't get out of. Of course, art helps the healing process. Have a lovely Easter and happy WOYWW from #6.

It hits us all in different ways. Sorry to hear that your nan passed away, she'd want you to carry on living your life doing the things you enjoy. The little house kit is really sweet, I'm not surprised you fell in love with it :)

Snow? :brrr: I'm glad we've only got rain down here.

Wookie very wisely informed me 'You aren't meant to be coping' which I've held as sensible advice. Glad you are feeling up to playing a bit and hope you have a good Easter.

So sorry to hear about your nan. It does take time for you to be able to remember without the sharp pain of grief, and being creative can be incredibly therapeutic. I'm glad you feel able to pick up your activities again, even if slowly. Sending you big hugs!

Your desk is certainly interesting. The piece on the left looks really intriguing! I haven't done anything like that.

Glad you like my zentangle! I'm having such fun with it - it's so easy, so stimulating, and so fulfilling! I'm seeing inspiration everywhere these days.

Happy WOYWW,

It's great to try new stuff, but I know what you mean...I don't have enough time for paper crafts, let alone anything else. Thanks for sharing your workspace x

Sorry to hear that you also have suffered a loss. Grief takes many forms and sometimes we just need to take our time and not rush into doing stuff. Lovely that you could post for woyww.

Glad you found you were ready to come back. We are all thinking of you, and hoping you can find the right way for you to recover from your sadness. Take it at your own pace. Thank you for your visit. The fine nibs for the Promarkers are excellent and really allow you to get in to tiny spaces accurately. Have a peaceful and relaxing Easter. xx Maggie #9

Sorry to hear about your nan, I must have missed your post about that. It does take time, but you will get there. You will never lose the memories.
Went a few posts below and saw your tags - brilliant - I haven't even started yet - not a peek in or anything. Par for the course with me.
Sorry I am so late, things got in the way. Thanks for sharing, stopping by me and putting your number (so appreciated.) Hugs, Neet #10 xx

I'm sorry to hear about the passing away of your nan (I assume your grandmother?) It's so sad that you can't see her again, but one day you will, in a happier place! That's what we celebrate today, isn't it? A blessed Easter to you! Patsy from
