Imagine my excitement yesterday when I went over to T!ms blog to see his September tag and found out that I had been chosen as a winner for my August tag - this one here:
Whoo hoo! I won a voucher to spend at Simon Says Stamp - which obviously I have gone and spent four times over before 7am this morning!
Yesterday I decided to have play and get on with my Sons request for a Darth Vader quilt - honestly children don't make things easy for you do they!
I have two yards of Star Wars patterned material that I bought in the States but my Son has decided that he would like a big Darth Vader in the middle! So not to be put off I went onto google images, found a picture of Darth that had outlines in white, printed it out on A3+ sized paper, pinned it directly onto a piece of black material and then just sewed straight over the top of the white lines with white thread and this is the result:
hasn't it come out brilliantly! I am really pleased with the results - just need to find the time to make it into a quilt now!
Well that's my eventful weekend so far, am now off to go and look at star quilting patterns to see what I can come up with for the rest of this Star Wars creation.
A big hello to both Janie and Ria - thank you both so much for following me!
Thanks for looking - Chuffed winner from Solihull

Thank you so much for the lovely comments on my blog today. It made my day. I want to thank you for the link for the Sherlock stamp..I can't wait to order it. Married to "Watson" so, it will make lots of fun cards and gifts for their company!
Oh Congratulations! I loved that stamp and am seriously going to lift part of it for my Dad's next birthday card. Added to my inspiration folder with just that note ;)
Cool Darth Vader quilt - you can still use up the fabric bits just for pillows or a smaller snuggly quilt. Can't wait to see what you end up with.
Well done you! The tag is gorgeous though. I have yet to complete one of Tim's tags and yet I usually do his Christmas ones. Too many challenges and work gets in the way!!
Hugs
xx
